The conference

On November 24, Da Nang Customs Department organized a Conference on Developing Customs-Business Partnership.

Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh assessed that this is a necessary annual event, aiming to develop Customs-Business Partnership to implement State financial policies on taxes, customs.

The world situation in 2023 continues to see rapid and complicated changes. The country’s economy and the city’s economy continue to face great difficulties, especially in import-export, trade and investment activities of businesses. Thus, Da Nang Customs Department has proposed many solutions and support activities to remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for import and export activities for businesses.

Director of Da Nang Customs Department Quach Dang Hoa said that the unit has always expressed the spirit of responsibility towards businesses, actively and flexibly offered solutions to facilitate, accompany and support businesses, in which developing Customs-business partnerships is an issue of interest and continuously reformed.

Assign, arrange and arrange competent, qualified, knowledgeable and experienced civil servants in the field of work to directly handle procedures for businesses and passengers on entry and exit.

So far, Da Nang Customs Department has organized 11 online and offline dialogue conferences (including 1 department-level conference, 10 branch-level conferences) with the participation of 244 businesses and answered 93 answers.

The 100% questions and problems of businesses have been removed.

Regarding support import-export and immigration activities, Da Nang Customs Department said that to attract investment and facilitate import-export activities of the business community in the area, the unit has established four working groups at the department and branch levels to visit and work directly at 34 businesses to listen and grasp thoughts and aspirations of the businesses.

Therefore, the customs introduced timely and practical policies and solutions to support, accompany and help businesses, creating more favorable conditions in import-export and immigration activities in the area.

Da Nang Customs Department also organizes research and advise the city’s authority on solutions, support policies and incentives for businesses when implementing investment schemes/projects in the city, especially for a number of key projects such as the project to establish a non-tariff zone in Da Nang; the project to build an International Financial Center in Da Nang; Da Nang logistics services development project to effectively connect with the Central Key Economic Region and the East-West Economic Corridor for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; Cruise service industry development project; Lien Chieu Port Construction Investment Project...

In addition, Da Nang Customs has arranged well-skilled and qualified officers to process customs procedures for businesses and entry and exit passengers.

Leaders of Da Nang Customs Department award Certificates to businesses participating in the pilot program to support and encourage businesses to voluntarily comply with customs laws.

At the conference, the customs listened to businesses' opinions on customs procedures, goods management policies, origin, goods classification, specialized management, and declaration errors on the aviation national single window system and conditions to participate the compliance program.
