Smuggled Iphones 15 Promax.

On September 23, during screening process for luggage of a Thai male passenger on a flight from Bangkok to Vietnam across Da Nang International Airport, the Entry Luggage Customs Procedures Team under Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch) detected suspicious signs.

The Customs inspected this passenger's luggage at the customs inspection room. Through the physical inspection, the Customs discovered 20 unbox Iphones 15 Promax 256 GB, and 20 boxes and accessory sets with total estimated value of about VND700 million.

The passenger did not present relevant legal documents. Therefore, he violated customs control regulations.

The Branch coordinated with the Police and relevant authorities to make profile and handle the case.

Earlier, before the event Apple officially launched the Iphone 15 phone, on September 22, following the direction of the General Department of Vietnam Customs and Da Nang Customs Department, Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch has taken measures and strengthened forces to detect and handle violations for smuggling and illegal transportation of electronic telecommunications equipment and iPhones by airway.
