VCN - Information about import-export activities of more than 7,000 businesses not operating at their business registration addresses has been provided to the Tax agency by the HCM City Customs Department.

HCM City Customs Department actively exchanges, provides, collects, and processes information with other customs and non-customs agencies to effectively combat smuggling and trade fraud.

In the first half of 2024, at the request of the HCM City Tax Department, HCMC Customs provided information on the import-export activities of 7,062 enterprises not operating at the addresses registered with the tax authorities.

HCM City Customs also coordinates with the HCM City Tax to collect outstanding tax debts. In the first half of 2024, upon the request of HCMC Tax, HCMC Customs issued hundreds of decisions to forcibly collect tax debts by suspending customs procedures for imported and exported goods of enterprises intentionally delaying to pay taxes.
