According to the HCM City Customs Department, in the first 6 months of 2024, the unit has consulted 13,139 import-export goods declarations. After consultation, the unit accepted the declared value for 8,783 declarations; at the same time, rejecting the declared value of 4,356 declarations (accounting for 33.15%), contributing to an increase in revenue to the state budget of over VND 63.84 billion.
Revenues from price consultation work mainly occurs at the Saigon Port area 1 Customs Branch, with an increase in tax revenue of VND 25.5 billion (accounting for 39.95%) and the Investment Customs Branch is VND 24.97 billion (accounting for 39.13%).
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the leadership of the HCM City Customs Department has requested the customs branches to implement synchronous professional measures for inspection, consultation, and determination of taxable value in accordance with regulations.
Furthermore, it is noted that price consultation needs to clarify the basis for suspicion, the basis for rejecting the declared value and implement the re-determination of the transaction value following the regulations to limit the occurrence of complaints.
