Discovering the hidden tens of Swiss watches in the pants

On 15/10/2017, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch - Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has completed procedures for handling a case of L.D.T (33 years old, Vietnamese nationality). He hid 21 watches and watch faces of famous brands such as Omega Seamaster, Corum, Zenith, Pequigne, Longines, Jean Seiko Lasalle, Movado.... All watches are originated from Swiss. As known that, those watches were hidden by wrapping inside the pants in order to escape Customs authority.
However, when the L.D.T passed through clearance area in the green door – only for passenger without declared cargo accordance with regulation, Customs officer of Entry luggage Customs procedure Team – Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch detected suspected signs so he requested L.D.T to change to Red door for inspection and discovered violation as mention above.

As known that, recently, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch has implemented the channel distribution "Green Door" and "Red Door" to facilitate ultimately, reduce clearance time for passengers on entry; in line with international practice; aim to attract investment, trade, and tourism.
However, there has been a situation where passengers take advantage of current customs clearance procedures to commit fraudulent trade. Recently, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch has detected and seized passengers who carried large numbers of leopard canine tooth, lion claws when was passing through the "green door" in order to evade the inspection of the customs authority.
