The plan aims to continue implementing directives from the Government, Prime Minister, National Steering Committee 389, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and local authorities regarding the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.
The plan requires all units to identify key routes, areas, targets, and commodities to develop market inspection and control plans, as well as assign specific tasks to working teams.
The focus will be on inspecting, controlling, and strictly handling administrative violations of goods with high demand during the year-end period and Tet holiday, such as tobacco, alcohol, beverages, sugar, food, electronics, appliances, clothing, footwear, livestock, poultry, processed livestock and poultry products, and fireworks.
The plan includes monitoring goods sold online on e-commerce platforms, websites, and social media like Facebook and TikTok. It also involves inspecting product quality and compliance with national standards, technical regulations, and product quality declarations, as well as food safety.
Furthermore, there will be close coordination with other forces such as the Police, Customs, Border Guard, and specialized inspectors to regularly inspect and control goods in circulation, especially those transported from borders, international airports into the domestic market, and at various points of sale, including warehouses, wharves, goods collection points, shopping centers, supermarkets, wholesale markets, production facilities, and villages.
Regular inspections and supervision of the official activities of civil servants under their management will be conducted to promptly urge and rectify civil servants to complete their assigned tasks, ensuring quality and timeliness. Collective and individual entities that protect and assist in illegal acts will be strictly dealt with.
The plan specifically states that Market Surveillance Departments of provinces and cities with land borders, seaports, international airports, and inland areas will intensify inspections and handling, especially for key commodities and sectors such as sugar, alcohol, beverages, electronics, appliances, clothing, footwear, food, livestock, and fireworks.
This intensified campaign against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods will be implemented by the entire Market Surveillance force from November 1, 2024, to March 1, 2025.
