VCN- On May 8, the leader of the Northern Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit- Unit 1 (under the Anti-smuggling and Investigation of the General Department of Vietnam Customs) said the Unit is verifying the import of large quantities of medicine and computers without Customs declaration at NoiBai International Airport.

Specifically, Unit 1 coordinated with the NoiBai International Airport Customs Branch (under Ha Noi Customs Department) to detect three cases involving one enterprise that imported conditional goods but did not declare.

Infringing goods included 6,786 boxes of medicines.

On March 22, the Unit 1 and the NoiBai International Airport Customs Branch inspected one consignment of a company that had suspicious sign of abusing the declaration of goods not subject to conditional goods to import conditional goods and goods banned from import.

The Customs force detected 204 computers (including 16 new computers, 188 used computers), and shampoo, clothes, milk and candy.
