Prosecute the case of 180 Apple Iphone 7

Based on investigation results, verification, evidence and documents of the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department collected from the violated case of TR Transportation Co., Ltd (business code: 0313816815 ; address: 557B, Highway 13, Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc district, Ho. Ho Chi Minh), on 17 September 2016, the company opened shipping declaration No.500055506943 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch in order to transit the shipment of 180 Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus to Cambodia for Green White Mart company (address 30 AEO, St. 167 12311 Phnom Penh, Cambodia).

A representative of the Company took delivery of the goods which had Customs seal from Customs authorities and put on vehicle No.54X-1897 to transport to Moc Bai international border gate in Tay Ninh province in order to transit to Cambodia.

However, the physical inspection result of the Customs agency at Moc Bai International border gate in Tay Ninh province showed that the merchandise actually had only 1 Apple Iphone 7, 1 Apple Iphone 7 plus and added 16 barrels of toothpaste ( 184 type), 2 barrels of shampoo (18 bottles).

Hence, 178 Apple Iphone 7 and apple Iphone 7 plus and had not been transited to Cambodia. They were transported to another place in Vietnam.

So the results of Criminal Science Institute (Ministry of Public Security) defined that there was a fake dossier and documents lodged to the Customs agency in order to do transit procedure for shipment with shipping declaration No.500055506943 on date 17/9/2016.

The Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department has transferred the dossier to the Investigation Police agency – HCMC Police to continue the investigation in accordance to their competence.
