One more bank signed a collaboration agreement with the General Department of Customs

VCN – According to the Import – Export Duty Department (General Department of Customs), on November 15th 2016, the General Department of Customs has signed a collaboration agreement with Shinhan Bank Vietnam Limited for State Budget collection. It means that the number of banks which have signed collaboration agreements with the General Department of Customs for collecting State Budget is now 31 banks.

In the early stage of pilot deployment, Shinhan Bank Vietnam will help the General Department of Customs to collect State Budget in the operation area of some Departments: Hanoi, HCMC and Dong Nai.

In addition, Vietnam Shinhan Bank is a bank of Korea. In 2008, Shinhan Vietnam Bank was licensed and became one of the first 5 banks with 100% foreign investment capital in Vietnam. On June 28- 11 - 2011, to demonstrate a firm commitment to the Vietnam market, Shinhan Bank bought a 50% stake in Shinhan Vina Bank (a joint venture bank with 50% of the shares of the Bank for Foreign Trade Vietnam - Vietcombank and 50% stake in Shinhan Bank) and officially renamed Shinhan Vietnam Bank.

Currently, the operation network of Shinhan Vietnam Bank includes 1 head office, 18 branches and transaction offices that are located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong and Bac Ninh .

With the signing of a collaboration agreement with Shinhan Bank Vietnam, the General Department of Customs has extended the State budget collection through commercial banks in order to give taxpayers a better tax service and convenience, reduce time, and create more favorable conditions for commercial activities of the enterprise.

Currently, the General Department of Customs is asking the Customs Departments in provinces and cities to list the banks that signed collaboration agreements with the General Department of Customs to announce to the business community.
