Kien Giang Customs’ revenue reaches over 190% of target

Notably, the revenue in October surges 238.93% month-on-month.
According to Kien Giang Customs Department, the increase in revenue in October results from the revenue of VND17.93 billion from Green Uiversal Supply Company Limited importing machinery and equipment to build a beer factory.
As of October 15, Kien Giang Customs Department processes customs procedures with total import and export turnover of over US$299 million. Items are mainly exported as essential foods, general goods, construction bricks and tiles, electricity, frozen seafood, canned seafood, sports shoes, etc.
Imported items include: seafood of all kinds used as raw materials for export production, raw materials, chemicals used in shoe production, supplies, spare parts for machinery in shoe production, plaster, etc.
Additionally, since the beginning of the year, the department has processed entry and exit procedures for more than 8,000 vehicles and about 1.5 million passengers across border gates by road, waterway and air.
As of October 15, the department prevented the State revenue loss worth VND1.1 billion through tax assessment, administrative fines and late payment fines.
