Of the total revenue, 85.75%, equivalent to VND 11,906.37 billion, was collected through seaports; 13.77%, equivalent to VND 1,911.945 billion, was collected through land border gates; the remaining revenue was collected from post-clearance audits and anti-smuggling activities.
According to statistics from the Quang Ninh Customs Department, the unit's revenue is still heavily reliant on key commodity groups such as imported petroleum, exported coal, imported coal, raw materials for animal feed, raw materials for vegetable oil production, and revenue from machinery and equipment for investment projects, as well as raw materials for FDI enterprises.
Specifically, revenue from imported petroleum reached VND 3,180.197 billion; imported coal reached VND 5,573.667 billion.
The Quang Ninh Customs Department assessed that although revenue from imported petroleum decreased, revenue from other commodity groups such as imported coal, imported raw materials for animal feed, and imported raw materials for vegetable oil increased by approximately VND 2,432 billion. Specifically, revenue from imported petroleum decreased by 28.1% compared to the same period in 2023 due to a 25.1% decrease in import volume and a 26% decrease in taxable import value.
The revenue from imported coal increased due to the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Group (TKV) and commercial enterprises maintaining imports according to the plan to serve thermal power plants and domestic manufacturing plants.
