In 2024, the Customs agency continues to implement solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of providing online public services, striving for at least 90% of people and businesses to be satisfied with the processing by the Customs agency.
The General Department of Customs continues to implement and operate the one-stop shop section at the headquarters of the General Department of Customs and local Customs Departments to ensure stability; receive and return results of administrative procedure settlement on time; improve the satisfaction level of individuals and organizations with the service of Customs units.
In addition, the General Department of Customs has directed units to review and propose to reduce and simplify internal administrative procedures of the General Department of Customs in the 2022-2025 period. At the same time, requesting Customs units to implement plans to reduce and simplify regulations related to business conditions, approved decentralization plans in handling administrative procedures and continue to review and propose plans to reduce and simplify internal administrative procedures under the management of the General Department of Customs.
In the third quarter alone, the General Department of Customs actively reviewed and compiled the list of administrative procedures requiring electronic authentication to evaluate and propose amendments and supplements to legal documents and business processes in accordance with current regulations of the Government on electronic identification and authentication.
From June 15 to September 15, 2024, the entire sector processed 5,257,467 administrative applications. Accordingly, up to now, customs units processed 5,235,468 applications. Of which, 4,530,357 applications were processed on time; 705,111 applications were processed ahead of schedule and 21,999 applications are being processed.
The General Department of Customs has also issued an action plan to improve the quality and efficiency of online public services by 2024. Accordingly, there are currently 225 administrative procedures in the customs sector; of which, 214 procedures are performed by the Customs agency, including 132 administrative procedures are provided with full online public services; 61 administrative procedures are provided with partial online public services and 21 administrative procedures are provided with online information.
