Quang Ninh Customs seeks solutions to promote import and export

On October 29, Quang Ninh Customs Department organized a dialogue conference with enterprises to discuss solutions to remove difficulties to restore production and stabilize import-export activities.
Attending the conference were leaders of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Economic Zone Management Board; leaders of districts and cities: Ha Long, Cam Pha, Mong Cai, Quang Yen; and representatives of nearly 70 enterprises operating in import-export activities in Quang Ninh province.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Customs Department Trinh Van Nhuan emphasized that in recent times, the Department has made efforts to synchronously deploy many solutions to accompany, support, and resolve difficulties for enterprises, contributing to the improvement of import-export activities through the area.
Most recently, storm No. 3 (Yagi) hit directly Quang Ninh province, causing serious damage to people and property throughout the province and directly affecting the production and business activities of enterprises in the import-export sector.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of support, companionship, and removal of difficulties for businesses; quickly overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, restore and stabilize production activities, Quang Ninh Customs Department organized a Business Dialogue Conference to discuss solutions to remove difficulties, restore and stabilize import and export activities.
On this occasion, Quang Ninh Customs Department also informed the business community about a number of management policies, import and export tax policies; new regulations on management of high-tech sectors, export production, and deep processing in the area.
The conference recorded 12 opinions from businesses identifying difficulties, obstacles, and impacts on import and export activities in the area.
Most business representatives highly appreciated the support measures of the Customs agency.
At the conference, the leaders of Quang Ninh Customs Department also expressed their commitment to accompany and support businesses, especially in the current difficult period.
"With the motto of considering enterprises as cooperative partners, Quang Ninh Customs Department hopes to receive attention and support from localities where Customs forces are stationed in the area to quickly restore production and business activities in the area together with the business community. At the same time, we hope that the business community will continue to trust and stand side by side with Quang Ninh Customs Department to continue promoting import and export activities in the area", Mr. Trinh Van Nhuan further emphasized.
As of October 15, 2024, Quang Ninh Customs Department has carried out customs procedures through the VNACCS/VCIS System for 135,777 declarations of 1,765 enterprises, with a total import and export turnover of 14.96 billion USD, an increase of 21% in declarations, 21% in enterprises, and 17% in turnover compared to the same period last year.
Budget revenue from import-export activities reached VND 14,388 billion (up 18.44% over the same period), reaching 115.11% of the assigned target.
Of which, imported goods groups increased sharply such as coal, animal feed, imported consumer goods, raw materials and machinery of FDI enterprises, up over 30% over the same period in 2023.
