Customs promotes implementation of key tasks and solutions
Accordingly, the General Department of Customs requires affiliated and subordinate units to strengthen state budget financial discipline; strictly implement the Government's working regulations and directions of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Customs. The units, based on their assigned functions, tasks, and powers, proactively carry out tasks, especially projects in the Working Program of the Government and the Prime Minister; urgently complete overdue projects and tasks, immediately overcome delayed implementation of assigned tasks.

Improving the effectiveness of coordination with ministries, central and local agencies, ensuring timeliness, synchronization, severity and effectiveness; strengthening inspection and examination of public affairs; resolutely rectifying and overcoming the situation of avoiding and pushing responsibilities of a part of officials, civil servants and public employees.
At the same time, focusing on perfecting institutions, laws, mechanisms and policies to immediately remove difficulties and obstacles and reducing human resources to promote socio-economic development; focusing on reviewing and proposing plans to address contradictory, overlapping, inadequate and inappropriate mechanisms, policies, and legal regulations and completely removing difficulties and obstacles to amend and supplement documents; advising the General Department to report to the Ministry of Finance to propose to the Government and the Prime Minister to amend and supplement documents according to its authority and report to the National Assembly on problems and bottlenecks beyond their authority.
Promoting reform, reduction, simplification of administrative procedures, digital transformation, and improvement of the business and investment environment to remove difficulties, create convenience, and reduce compliance costs for people and businesses; effectively deploying policies to extend tax payment deadlines and reduce fees and charges.
Drastically deploying digital transformation, especially the application of digital transformation in budget collection and spending, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state budget revenue and expenditure management; ensuring correct, complete and timely collection, expanding the collection base and prevent tax loss, especially from e-commerce, to compensate for reduced revenue due to the implementation of support policies; striving to complete the assigned estimate at the highest level.
Promoting disbursement of public investment capital, taking public investment to activate and lead private investment, and promoting public-private cooperation; identifying public investment disbursement as a key political task; closely following the detailed disbursement plans and goals for each project to focus on direction; resolutely handling cases of deliberately delaying in delivery, implementation, and capital disbursement, negativity, corruption, loss, and waste.
In particular, the General Department of Customs directs affiliated and subordinate units to strictly implement the requirement of saving 5% of recurrent expenses in 2024; resolutely reduce the recurrent expenditure estimates that have been assigned but have not been allocated according to regulations by the end of June 30, 2024.
