According to the organizer, the contest aims to further clarify milestones in the historical journey, affirm the role, position, function and mission of Vietnam Customs in building and defending the Fatherland, record the memories and events of the Customs sector that we need to preserve and promote in the upcoming development journey.

The contest aims to record historical events, people, stories, and further lively create the heroic and glorious history throughout 80 years of construction and development of Vietnam Customs.

The contest also aims to record feelings and emotional memories of outstanding individuals, which have become profound memories and valuable experiences of the previous generation.

The contest will also introduce the good tradition of Vietnam Customs to the next generation. Thoughts on the Customs reform and modernization, development of Digital Customs and Smart Customs have contributed to the successful implementation of the goals of the Customs Development Strategy to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.

The contest contributes to educating traditions, arousing pride, creating motivation for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole Customs sector to improve their sense of responsibility and make efforts for the development of the Customs sector and the country; disseminating and fostering the good values and traditions built and developed by generations of the Customs industry during 80 years of glorious history.

Additionally, the contest aims to widely disseminate the achievements of innovation, development, positive and effective contributions of units in the Customs sector in the national development.

It also aims to review the glorious tradition of the Customs sector, clarify historical milestones, recognize the outstanding achievements of the Customs sector, especially results in Customs reform, modernization, anti-smuggling, and capacity building.

The contest contributes to educating traditions, arousing pride, motivating cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the whole sector, enhancing the sense of responsibility and efforts to contribute to the development of the sector and the country, thereby fostering the good values and traditions built and developed by generations of the Customs industry during 80 years of glorious history.

The contest opens an opportunity to widely disseminate achievements and effective contributions of the Customs sector in the national development associated with the country's 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi process.

“Proud of 80 years of construction and development of Vietnam Customs” contest focuses on following topics:

- The 80-year glorious tradition of Vietnam Customs; sharing profound memories, stories, and feelings associated with historical events in the development process of Customs units and the whole Customs sector;

- The achievements of construction and development of Customs units as well as the whole Customs sector associated with the country’s construction, development, innovation and integration;

- Lessons, experiences, values, and good traditions applied in the development process of the Customs unit as well as of the entire sector;

- Typical individuals and collectives, examples of sacrifice, dedication, and outstanding initiatives in work, contributing to the process of formation, development, and international integration, and continuing the glorious tradition of the Customs sector;

- Thoughts, suggestions, initiatives... contribute to the strong development of Vietnam Customs, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland;

The contest will accept entries until April 30, 2025.

Time for receiving entries: From the launch of the Contest to April 30, 2025 (from the postmark for entries sent by post and the time displayed on the mail for entries sent by email).

The entries should be sent to the organizer via email: tktsbhq@gmail.com or by post: Customs Magazine, No. 9 Duong Dinh Nghe Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

Time for judging and summarizing the contest: May, June, July 2025. Announcement and awarding of the Contest: August 2025.
