Finding bank to implement tax refund at Da Nang airport and Phu Quoc airport

VAT refund for foreigners at Danang International Airport.

The VAT refund at these two airports was implemented by Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank, but the bank’slease contract with the tax refund desk has expired.

According to the conditions, the selected bank to implement VAT refund must meet the provisions of Article 1 and Article 15 of Circular 72/2014/TT-BTC providing conditions for selecting a bank to be a VAT refund agent for foreigners.

At the same time, it is responsible to coordinate with the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the General Department of Taxation and related units to comply with the provisions of VAT refund for foreign customers who buy goods to bring when leaving the country in accordance with Circular 72/2014/TT-BTC.

Vietnam has built a management system of VAT refund information for foreigners and it has been implemented. The system is built on the basis of the provisions of Circular No. 72/2014/TT-BTC dated May 30, 2014 of the Ministry of Finance.

Currently, foreign tourists that carry goods when leaving country through five international airports (Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc) and four international seaports (Khanh Hoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Con Dao) will be refunded VAT.

Previously, banks such as BIDV, Vietinbank, Vietcombank, Agribank, Lien Viet Post Bank, Maritime bank also participated to operate as VAT refund agent at some international airports and seaports.
