Da Nang: 8 businesses participate in the pilot program of import-export support

VCN - Da Nang Customs Department held a signing ceremony to participate in the Pilot Program on supporting and encouraging businesses to participate in export and import activities in Da Nang city.

Encouraging import and export businesses in the area

Da Nang Customs Department promulgated and held the pilot program on supporting and encouraging businesses to participate in export and import activities in Da Nang City. It aimed to create incentives and attract businesses engaging in export and import goods in Da Nang city, promoting the development of import and export activities.

The implementation of the program contributes to increasing the source and amount of tax payment on exported and imported goods in Da Nang city; at the same time, continues to build trust and a reliable destination for businesses participating in import and export activities in Da Nang city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh highly appreciated Da Nang Customs Department for having been implementing a series of solutions to facilitate trade, reduce clearance time and minimize costs for businesses, support businesses engaging in import and export activities in the area.

One of the practical solutions is to develop the program "Piloting on supporting and encouraging businesses to participate in export and import activities in Da Nang city". The program will contribute to creating motivation and reducing administrative procedures for businesses.

As for the city leaders, they would continue to direct departments and branches to continue effectively implementing solutions to support and remove difficulties for businesses, focusing on solutions to attract investment; enhance a proactive spirit in coordination with customs authorities to support the business community to make a stronger breakthrough in the future.

The business community also needed to make efforts to adapt to the new period; improve competitiveness, move forward to participate in the global value chain, strive to fulfill business goals and contribute to the city's economic development.

The Da Nang Customs Department implements the program within 1 year from the date of promulgation.

This signing is in Phase 1 of the Program, eight enterprises are contributing large amounts of state revenue through the area that participated in the signing and are recognized as Phase 1 members including Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company, Gaz Thanh Dat Company Limited, Coca Cola Vietnam Beverage Company Limited Branch in Da Nang City, Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Company Limited, Vinatex Da Nang Joint Stock Company, Hoa Phat Da Nang Steel Pipe Company Limited, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation and 29/3 Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company.

Businesses benefit from participating in the program

Participating in the program is a great benefit for businesses. Members participating in the program, besides enjoying supportive policies complying with the provisions of law and current regulations and instructions, businesses are supported by Da Nang Customs Department with favorable conditions.

That is to arrange specialized civil servants to guide before carrying out customs procedures and about the customs procedure order; import and export goods management policies; tax policy for import and export goods; goods classification; customs valuation declaration; origin of goods (C/O) and other contents related to customs procedures.

Furthermore, receiving support to facilitate the process of carrying out customs procedures. For example, arranging a team of specialized civil servants to receive and handle customs procedures, inspect customs documents and/or conduct physical inspection of goods (if the system classified to inspection); receive and immediately resolve problems or related issues arising under the jurisdiction of customs department or customs branch; arrange civil servants to work outside working hours, days off, and holidays to handle customs procedures at the request of members; and be provided with information related to handling customs procedures.

In addition, businesses also receive support after clearance of import and export goods. For example, support for warnings of errors and omissions within 60 days from the time of clearance of import and export goods so that members can promptly correct, adjust, and make additional declarations complying with the provisions of law; are instructed to self-check documents that have completed customs procedures complying with the regulations.

At the same time, businesses are informed, trained, and guided on new customs policies and regulations; organize consultations, and dialogues, and support members to improve their capacity to carry out customs procedures, improve level of compliance with customs laws, overcome errors, minimize risks and violations of customs law.

In addition, businesses can coordinate and propose competent agencies and units to assist in resolving and removing difficulties and obstacles and facilitating members in the process of carrying out customs procedures.

At the same time, businesses can also apply 100% of administrative procedures which have been published on Online Public Service System of General Department of Vietnam Customs; support for declarative software/troubleshooting system.
