Establishing a board of project implementation on building an IT system to implement digital customs

On May 8, 2024, the Director General of Vietnam Customs signed Decision 1117/QD-TCHQ to establish a board of project implementation on building an IT system to implement digital customs (referred to as the Board), including 326 members.
According to the Decision, the Board includes a director and 4 deputy directors. In particular, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs Luu Manh Tuong is the Director of the Board.
The Deputy Director of the Committee include Mr. Le Duc Thanh, Director of the Department of Customs Information Technology and Statistics (cum Head of the IT Group); Mr. Au Anh Tuan, Director of Customs Supervision and Control Department (cum Head of professional group); Mr. Dam Viet Nghi, Director of the Department of Finance and Administration (cum Head of the Finance and Logistics Group); Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, Chief of Office of General Department of Vietnam Customs (cum Head of the Supervision Team).
The Board is responsible for advising and assisting the Director General Vietnam Customs in developing and submitting to competent authorities for approval projects to build IT systems to implement Digital Customs (including developing investment policies); Organize and implement tasks related to the construction of IT projects to implement Digital Customs until competent authorities approve the projects...
