Recently, the Steering Committee on building e-government, smart city and digital transformation of Da Nang city released a report announcing the results of assessment and ranking of information technology (IT) applications in 2020 of agencies and localities in the city.
Da Nang Customs Department is highly appreciated by the Steering Committee for administrative reform and IT application, ranked 2nd among central agencies with 91.31 points on IT application and 87.46 points on administrative reform.
According to the aggregated results, from 2016 to now, Da Nang Customs Department together with the Department of Taxation and Social Insurance of Da Nang City have always been one of the top 3 units in administrative reform and IT application in the group of central agencies in the area.
Evaluation and ranking of information technology applications is an annual task of the People's Committee of Da Nang City. In 2020, in order to be in line with the criteria for e-Government development in the 2019-2020 period, with an orientation to 2025, the Steering Committee on building e-government, smart city and digital transformation of Da Nang city adjusted and supplemented the evaluation criteria (infrastructure index, applications index, human resources index, policies index) most of which have higher requirements compared to 2019.
To meet the increasing requirements of the above indicators, Da Nang Customs Department implemented many effective measures to improve the ranking of the unit through increasing the use of digital signatures; to establish a team to evaluate and advise on improving the ranking index; promulgating the plan on implementing solutions to improve the ranking index on administrative reform, archives, and IT application in 2021 at Da Nang Customs Department.
This result has reflected the efforts of Da Nang Customs Department in applying information technology, facilitating enterprises in import and export activities: maintaining a stable Customs IT system, smoothly supporting most of the key areas of customs management such as carrying out customs procedures, paying taxes, managing goods at seaports, risk management, post-clearance audit, handle violations, provide online public services, implementing the National Single Window, and managing internal industries.
