22 banks coordinate with Customs on e-tax payment 24/7

In the period, the General Department of Vietnam Customs continued to drasitically implement the application of IT in State management in customs, contributing to promoting administrative reform and facilitate people and enterprises.
Notably, one of important contents relating closly and receiving concerns from the business communities was the expansion of electronic payment of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Over the past six months, there were 39 commercial banks coordinating with General Departent of Vietnam Customs, of that 22 banks participated in electronic tax payment and 24/7 customs clearance.
The total amount of tax collected from e-tax payment was 162,944 billion VND, accounting for 92.72% of State revenue. In particular, the amount of tax collected via electronic tax payment and 24/7 customs clearance was 13,550 billion VND, accounting for 8.3% of revenue collected via electronic payment.
Besides that, General Department of Vietnam Customs also deployed online public services.
Currently, there are 171,181 administrative procedures in customs provided via online public services at level 3 and 4 (accounting for more than 94.4%). Notably, 162 administrative procedures were provided at level 4 (reaching by approximately 90%).
It is expected that in July, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will provide two more procedures at level 3 and 4, increasing the total procedures that are provided via online public service at level 3 and 4 to 173/181 (reaching 96%).
In the first six months of the year, the total number of dossiers processed on the public service system was 69,178 dossiers, with 12,323 enterprises and 85 individuals implementing.
In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will continue to focus on developing the plan of re-designing the whole IT system to continue promoting and improving the efficiency of IT application in State management of customs, creating a change in State management of customs.
At the same time, ensuring to meet the requirements of intelligent management; managing enterprises, import and export goods and transit goods; managing means of transport on entry and transit from the beginning to the end; capable of integrating, connecting, sharing information with ministries, sectors and businesses and ready to exchange customs data with countries in the region and world.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs has also deployed the investment plan of electronic positioning seal system to serve cargo supervision for items subjected to customs supervision transporting by container of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
In tandem with that, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will continue to improve IT systems to serve for the state management of customs; implementation of VASSCM system; ensuring operation of IT systems with stable operation, security and safety to meet the requirements of customs.
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the last six months, the whole sector has completed huge and complicated IT application contents.
This result were a very important meaning, is a premise for the development of IT application of the Customs sector in the next five to 10 years such as reviewing and evaluating the overall IT system in order to build Plan of re-designing the whole IT system of Customs sector; implementing the conclusions of the State Audit on IT systems for the management of revenue collection.
