Over VND317 billion was raised through post-clearance audits

In the third quarter of 2024, Vietnamese Customs conducted 574 case of post-clearance audits, with 280 at the premises of customs declarants and 294 at customs offices.

These audits resulted in a total of VND 354.51 billion in assessed taxes and fines, of which VND 42.05 billion was collected.

For the first nine months of the year, the customs authority conducted a total of 1,446 post-clearance audits, including 666 case of on-site audit and 780 cases conducted at customs offices.

The total assessed taxes and fines amounted to VND 661 billion, with VND 317.48 billion collected.

Specifically, the Post-Clearance Audit Department conducted 121 audits, resulting in assessed taxes and fines of VND 211.43 billion. Of this amount, VND 195.42 billion was collected.

Despite accounting for only 8.4% of all post-clearance audits conducted by the customs authority, the Post-Clearance Audit Department contributed 61.57% of the total revenue collected.
