For the Quang Tri area, taking advantage of the difficult and complicated border situation, border citizens illegally transporting narcotics, especially in the two districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong have skinship relations. These areas have a system of trails, border crossings and border rivers very convenient for cross-border transportation of goods.

“The successful crackdown of the 100kg meth project by the Customs, Border Guard, and Police demonstrates the spirit of effective coordination in identifying risky subjects, collecting information at home and abroad, especially the role of professional coordination in struggle among authorities in the area ", the Deputy Director General added.

It is forecast that the drug crime situation will continue be complicated, with increasingly sophisticated methods to deal with the management agencies.

Deputy Director General Hoang Viet Cuong requested that the Customs, Police, and Border Guard in the area to maintain the leading role in this work, always identify Quang Tri as a "hot" area of drug crimes.

On the other hand, facing the constantly changing methods and tactics of the criminals, the authorities must continue to change their methods of struggle.

At the same time, continuing to disseminate and educate people in border areas to raise their sense of responsibility and not to support all kinds of criminals; offering solutions to improve the lives of people in border areas; strictly and thoroughly handling cases to create a deterrent effect in the entire society.
