Binh Duong Customs surpasses budget revenue target by over VND16.8 Trillion

VCN - As of November 30, 2024, the total budget revenue collected by the Binh Duong Customs Department reached VND16.872 trillion, achieving 100.43% of the assigned target and 98.67% of the aspirational target, representing a 14.45% increase compared to the same period last year.

During the 2024 year-end review and 2025 task implementation conference held on December 12, the Binh Duong Customs Department reported on its efforts to fulfill revenue collection goals. Since the beginning of 2024, the department has implemented comprehensive and decisive measures to facilitate trade, strengthen state management efficiency, and prevent revenue loss.

As a result, Binh Duong Customs successfully completed its objectives for 2024, maintaining its position among the leading units in administrative reform and customs modernization. These efforts have ensured a more favorable environment for import-export activities in the province while strengthening discipline and integrity within the unit.

The department has prioritized administrative discipline and enhanced anti-smuggling and anti-commercial fraud measures. Simultaneously, it has maintained support solutions to facilitate smooth import-export operations for businesses in the area.

As of November 30, 2024, total revenue collection reached VND16.872 trillion, achieving 100.43% of the assigned target and increasing 14.45% year-on-year.

Furtheremore, a total of 7,288 enterprises conducted customs procedures, marking a 3.5% increase from the same period in 2023. The figure is expected to rise to 7,485 enterprises by December 31, 2024.

Nearly 1.9 million declarations were processed, an increase of 17.03% year-on-year. By the end of 2024, this number is projected to reach 2.1 million declarations.

In terms of trade value, total import-export turnover exceeded US$54.2 billion, up 7.9% compared to the previous year. By the end of 2024, the figure is expected to surpass US$58.1 billion.

Looking ahead to 2025, Binh Duong Customs aims to achieve a total budget revenue of 17.6 trillion VND, representing a 4% increase compared to the 2024 estimate.

In his directive speech at the conference, Au Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs, praised the significant achievements of Binh Duong Customs in 2024, which have contributed to the overall success of the Customs sector.

Deputy Director General Au Anh Tuan acknowledged the unpredictable challenges posed by the global economic and political landscape in 2025. To meet the targets for the upcoming year, he urged Binh Duong Customs to build on the successes of 2024 by continue implementing measures to support businesses, simplify administrative procedures, and minimize risks.

Besides that, strengthen efforts to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and fraudulent product origin claims, which remain significant risks.

At the conference, the leadership of the Binh Duong Customs Department presented Certificates of Merit to 20 enterprises that made significant contributions to the department's success in 2024.
