Through statistics of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, from the beginning of 2024 to the end of March 29, 2024, there were 558 businesses completing procedures through the area, an increase of 149 businesses compared to the same period in 2023.

The Branch has completed procedures for 17,852 declarations, with a total turnover of USD 710.14 million, an increase of 30% in declarations and an increase of 30.76% in turnover compared to the same period in 2023.

It can be said that in the first quarter of 2024, the work of supporting and accompanying businesses continues to become a highlight of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch.

In particular, the Branch has had many innovations and creativity, working closely with businesses to carry out customs procedures through the area. According to Deputy Director of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, in 2024, the Branch will synchronously deploy many solutions to support and accompany businesses.

Specifically, establish working groups (led by Branch leaders) to directly work at the enterprise headquarters to grasp the situation of production and business activities of the enterprise; listen and solve problems for businesses.

In addition, the Branch propagates new policy documents and issues of concern to businesses through dialogue conferences and Fanpage pages, as well as ensuring customs clearance of goods, avoiding congestion at the border gate area.

Typically, in March 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch organized a consultation conference with more than 20 processing, export manufacturing, export processing and FDI enterprises.

Through the conference, the Branch exchanged, discussed and received information, opinions, difficulties in import-export activities of enterprises, problems in goods delivery procedures to promptly resolve businesses' problems according to its authority or propose to the competent authority.

In addition, strengthen the cooperative relationship between Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch and businesses, strengthen support measures and remove difficulties for businesses, contributing to maximum facilitation for import and export activities through the area.

Destination of many large businesses and corporations

Also according to the leaders of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, in the first quarter, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch welcomed and worked with a number of large businesses and corporations to survey and consider bringing goods back for doing procedures through the Department. Those are SAMSUNG, TCL, Vietnam Machine Development Investment Joint Stock Company, JINKOSOLAR HONG KONG.

At the working sessions, the leaders of the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch introduced the customs management policy mechanism, border gate opening and closing time and carried out customs clearance by appointment on Saturday and Sunday through Bac Luan II bridge area. At the same time, it commits to accompany businesses, thereby promoting their import and export activities.

Most recently, on March 28, 2024, representatives of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, Mong Cai International Border Gate’s Border Guard Station, Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board and Tan Dai Duong Import Export International Joint Stock Company had a meeting to welcome and work with representatives of Vietnam Machine Development Investment Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City).

A representative of Vietnam Machine Development Investment Joint Stock Company said that the company's main business areas include importing, distributing, and trading medium and heavy trucks, semi-trailers and specialized vehicles; trading service stations for warranty, maintenance, repair...

To prepare for the import of trucks, semi-trailers, specialized vehicles and necessary machinery and equipment, the Company came, worked, learned and discussed a number of procedures related to the import and export activities through Mong Cai International Border Gate.

The Company representative also hopes that as soon as possible, there will be favorable negotiations with Chinese partners to bring import and export goods through Mong Cai International Border Gate, contributing to the overall development of Mong Cai City as well as the development of Mong Cai border gate economic zone.
