The provinces and centrally-run cities have been requested to direct their units to guide agencies and businesses in their areas regarding import and export procedures at Huu Nghi border gate. Accordingly, authorities in Lang Son province will strictly control PCR certificates of people on exit within 48 hours at eight addresses designated by the Embassy of the Consulate General of China in Vietnam; and will not carry out exit procedures for those who have PCR certificates beyond 48 hours and do not have PCR certificates issued by the designated eight addresses.

Lang Son province has also assigned the Lang Son Department of Health to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies to ask the Provincial General Hospital to use testing methods and technical standards in accordance with regulations of the Ministries of Health of the two countries.

Previously, the People's Committee of Lang Son province directed the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring security and order in immigration activities through Huu Nghi international border gate.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province Ho Tien Thieu requested the competent authorities at the border gate closely work with the authorities in Guangxi (China) to unify the mechanisms and methods of information exchange and management, regulate the number of citizens who book an appointment online to exit through Huu Nghi international border gate in accordance with the procedures of the two sides in order to reduce congestion and large gatherings at the border gate; proactively propose to organize inter-sectoral or private talks with the respective Chinese agency to exchange, grasp, and unify procedures for online appointment registration and document samples, as well as QR codes designed by Guangxi.
