As of November 12, cumulative revenue for the Quang Ninh Customs Department reached over VND 15.657 trillion, reflecting an 8.45% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This figure represents 120.44% of the target set by the Provincial People's Committee (VND 13 trillion) and 104.38% of the aspirational goal (VND 15 trillion).

Among the border gate customs branches, Hon Gai Port Customs Branch collected VND 6.463 trillion; Cam Pha Port Customs Branch surpassed VND 6.97 trillion; Mong Cai reached VND 2.037 trillion; and Hoanh Mo exceeded VND 106 billion.

The Mong Cai Customs Branch, in particular, has established a new record for state revenue, marking the highest level it has ever achieved.

From the beginning of 2024, the Mong Cai Customs Branch has implemented aggressive revenue management plans, designing a detailed monthly and quarterly revenue roadmap for 2024.

The branch has also assigned specific responsibilities to each team, closely tracking import activities, especially from major clients in sectors such as automobile imports, electronic components, smartphones, tablets, and machinery. This approach aims to provide the best possible support for enterprises, assisting long-term clients and attracting new businesses to conduct customs procedures through the branch.

In addition, the Mong Cai Customs Branch has intensified administrative reform efforts, diversifying its support for businesses. It has effectively deployed IT applications in customs management, particularly in 24/7 electronic tax payment and the automated customs supervision system (VASCM) at all warehouses, storage areas, and ports.

The branch has also coordinated with competent forces and border management agencies to maximize convenience for enterprises, providing timely policy recommendations to resolve challenges and boost import-export activities in the area.

Alongside its efforts to increase revenue, Mong Cai Customs has implemented effective anti-revenue loss measures, enhancing inspections and monitoring of goods at border gates to identify and promptly handle fraudulent practices related to quantity, classification, and origin. The branch has improved post-clearance audit, risk management, anti-smuggling efforts, and tax debt recovery.

Back in November 2019, the Mong Cai Customs Branch recorded the highest revenue in the preceding decade, reaching VND 800 billion.
