Import-export increases sharply in the end of year, General Department of Vietnam Customs requests to settle customs procedures quickly

In addition, the end of the year is also the time of high demand for shopping, the subjects will take advantage to smuggle, mix the counterfeit goods and imitation goods into the country. Hence the GDVC required units to strengthen the price management, goods classification, taxes, anti-smuggling and trade fraud; To strictly implement the direction of the GDVC on reorganizing the professional activities of customs and goods classification.

At the same time, the units implement measures to strictly control imports goods in a small volume and temporary import and re-export goods, in that focus on locally produced goods and discourage importing according to regulations.

Specifically, for export-import goods, re-exported through sub-border gates or border open path that are allowed to open, upgrade by competent authorities in accordance with regulation in Decree No. 112/2014 / ND-CP of the Government; At the same time, strictly comply with the provisions of the Decision No. 52/2015 / QD-TTg of Prime Minister, Decree No. 187/2013 / ND-CP, Circular No. 34/2016 / TT-BCT and Circular No. 11/2017-TT – BTC of Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Strengthening the inspection and strict control of the illegal transportation of agricultural products, especially importing small volume of agricultural products and temporary import and re-export goods that tend to be smuggled into the domestic market.

The GDVC also instructed local customs units to strengthen the coordination and exchange of information with police forces, border guards, coast guard and related competent forces in order to ensure the management, supervision, and control of import-export goods.

Furthermore, to advise the provincial People's Committee to direct the competitive forces to strictly manage activities in the key areas, prevent the situation of transporting goods in incorrect routes, prescribe area or smuggling into the country.
