The department has processed transit procedures for 22,495 declarations, up 22.24%; worth more than US$7.1 billion, up 11.83%; and 2.66 million tons of cargo.
Quang Tri Customs Department always identifies reform and modernization as a key and regular task to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of customs as a premise for local economic development as well as contributing to promoting the prevention and combat of smuggling and trade fraud.
In 2024, Quang Tri Customs Department will implement a working program with the theme “Promoting internal strength - Reform - Discipline – Professionalism” associated with the theme of the Customs sector “Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity, and Determination to promote digital transformation in the Customs sector”.
From the beginning of the year, the department has promoted customs modernization reform, reduced costs, time and created favorable conditions for people and businesses in import-export, immigration and transit activities.
Also as of November 15, Quang Tri Customs collected VND922.62 billion, reaching 97.12% of the assigned target (VND950 billion), an increase of 2.065% over the same period in 2023.
