HCM City Customs Department: Already prevented loss of revenue by more than 200 billion VND

According to HCM City Customs Department, in the first five months of 2019, through professional operations such as price consultation, post clearance audit and goods classification, the unit increased revenue collection by some 200 billion VND.
Accordingly, through the price consultation of import goods, HCM City Customs has rejected transaction value of nearly 3,300 customs declarations. It has increased the revenue by nearly 130 billion VND, up nearly 50% over the same period in 2018.
Through the post clearance audit, HCM City Customs Department has increased revenue by over 64 billion VND. Of that, post clearance audit customs branch has collected some 62 billion VND for State revenue, an increase of 54.9% over the same period in 2018.
Along with that, HCM City Customs Department also increased revenue collection by collecting nearly 7 billion VND from import- export goods classification; collecting nearly 400 million VND from the work of handling administrative violation.
By the end of May, HCM City Customs has already collected 49,017 billion VND, an increase of nearly 19% over the same period in 2018, achieving over 45% of the target of 108,800 billion VND.
