GDVC connects data with digital border gate platform of Lang Son province

According to the GDVC, on the basis of the agreement with Lang Son Department of Information and Communications on the information criteria exchanged between the GDVC’s system with the digital border gate platform of Lang Son province, the country’s top customs agency will upgrade the system to serve the connection.

The information criteria on import and export declarations will include tax code and name of the importer and exporter, address, declaration number and customs code.

The information criteria on the independent transport declaration (including the list of goods in transit) include tax code and name of the transporter, address and customs code of the departure place.

According to the GDVC, the upgrading of the system is expected to be completed by April 10, 2022.

The local government required businesses involved in import and export activities, transportation, and drivers of vehicles carrying imports and exports across Huu Nghi International Border Gate to make a declaration on the digital border gate platform by February 21.

If businesses fail to declare on the digital border gate platform, the competent forces will suspend procedures for import, export and transport activities until the information is declared on the platform.

The process of using the platform includes eight steps: Declare information; transporting import and export goods; regulating the flow of vehicles carrying imports and exports; medical examination; inspecting vehicles transporting goods in and out the border gate; goods transshipment inspection; collection of fees for the use of infrastructure works, service works and public utilities in the border gate.

When applying the digital border gate platform, the import and export of goods will be automatically processed, reducing time for businesses and contributing to transparent management at the border gates.
