Da Nang Customs: Sharing experiences about risk management when making customs settlement report

The workshop shared some professional knowledge and practical experience with the business community with three topics: legal basis and basic issues in preparing settlement reports on the use of imported raw materials and export products; share practical experiences when preparing settlement reports at businesses; some risks while preparing settlement reports, internal management solutions, minimizing risks in settlement reports.
At the seminar, Deputy Director of Da Nang Customs Department Dang Thi Le Hoa stated the current situation of businesses when submitting settlement reports. Most businesses often encounter errors in raw material norms, data discrepancies between documents, etc., causing many businesses to encounter difficulties in the process of preparing settlement reports.
The representative of the Customs Supervision and Control Division stated the importance of clearly understanding the legal basis as well as the most basic issues of preparing final settlement reports. Businesses need to clearly understand the principles of preparing accounting books and settlement reports so that the data on documents must match, avoiding discrepancies that affect the tax rate paid as well as the reputation of the business. In addition, businesses need to update the latest circulars, decrees, and legal documents and firmly grasp the general regulations so as not to miss the deadline for submitting settlement reports, with the latest submission time being 90 days after the end of the fiscal year.
Mr. Phan Hai Trieu, Deputy Head of Import-Export Customs Clearance Department, InterLog Company shared knowledge about internal corporate governance to serve settlement reports, control actual norms, and warehouse raw materials and supplies used for production, waste product classification and some causes of differences in settlement reports as well as solutions.
In addition, at the conference, representatives of Da Nang Customs Department, Vietnam Industrial Support Alliance (VISA), and InterLOG Company shared and answered many questions of participating businesses.
