Seizing more than 100 units of phones branded Samsung and iPhone on a flight from South Korea to Noi Bai
On June 24, Unit 1 (Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department) worked with Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch (Hanoi Customs Department) to inspect a suspicious shipment that was transported on a flight from Incheon (South Korea) to Noi Bai International Airport on June 22.
As a result, Customs forces seized 134 phones branded iPhone, Samsung and LG brands, including some high-end new products like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
In addition, forces also seized many infringing goods such as 100 units of Core i5 chip of computers, five iPads and one Macbook laptop, cosmetics, and supplementary foods.
The infringing items include new and used goods.
According to an initial investigation, the business named to receive goods on the bill of lading is a "bogus" company.
The infringing shipment has been temporarily seized for further investigation and handling in accordance with regulations.
