On April 13, the working group under Customs Enforcement Unit 1 discovered a car (5-seater) with license plate 14A-122.00 transporting violated goods in the customs operation area in the village 10, Hai Xuan commune, Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province.

In there, the Customs Working Group discovered 11 used iPhones made in a foreign country, with no boxes and accessories included.

At the time of inspection, Nguyen Thanh Tung (born in 1987 and lives in hamlet 10, Hai Xuan commune) was the driver and could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin of the above mobile phones.

Based on the nature of the incident, the Customs Enforcement Unit 1 made a record of administrative violations and decided to hold in custody all exhibits in order to immediately stop the above violation.

At the same time, establishing a council to determine the value of the above exhibits which are VND77 million, in order to set a basis for determining the monetary penalty frame, sanctioning competence and completing the dossier to transfer to competent authorities for handling in accordance with regulations.
