Customs sector implement many solutions to improve customer service quality

According to General Department of Customs, the plan aims to improve and enhance service quality of Customs agencies for people and enterprise as well as facilitate the implementation of Customs Law.
The content for implementation including: evaluating the performance of customer service commitments; Deploying online public administrative services; Improving and expanding customer support activities; Establishing a database focused on problem-solving.
Specifically, the General Department of Customs will conduct an assessment of implementing customer service statement; Field inspection in some areas and taking a survey of enterprises on the implementation of commitments of the Customs authorities and having solutions in order to improve the customer service quality.
For the implementation of online public administrative services, the General Department of Customs will provide online public administrative services at level 3 and level 4 according to the registered plan (100% of online public administrative services is provided online at a minimum level of 3, 70% of online public administrative services in the core sector of Customs is provided online at level 4). In addition, the customs authorities will guide, support and answer people and enterprises during the process of service deployment.
At the same time, the General Department of Customs also conducts research to improve the effectiveness of customer support activities through the review, evaluation, and classification of existing support activities; Develop a list of customer support activities that need improvement and expansion; Having solutions for improving the quality of customer support activities.
In particular, in the upcoming time, the customs authorities will establish a database that focuses on solving problems in order to ensure transparency, consistency in the handling of problems, reducing the chance of occurring similar problems.
Accordingly, the Customs office will upgrade the Customs portal of the General Department of Customs, the provincial Customs departments to connect the information for online receiving and solving problems between Customs agencies at all levels.
