Enterprises are satisfied and very satisfied

After 3:00 p.m. on December 18, 2024, the tractor carrying the export container of Kingmaker III (Vietnam) Footwear Co., Ltd. arrived at the centralized inspection area of Quang Ngai Industrial Zone Customs Branch. A few minutes later, the cargo truck was completed customs procedures by customs officers, so that the company could transport cargo to HCM City and export the cargo across Cat Lai port.

Ms. Wang Xiang Mei, Director of Import and Export, Kingmaker III (Vietnam) Footwear Co., Ltd. said that the company was licensed to invest in VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park in 2013, with the business line of manufacturing footwear for export.

Over many years of operation in Vietnam, the company has received great support from Quang Ngai Customs Department and the Quang Ngai Industrial Park Customs Branch in accessing and implementing policies for foreign-invested enterprises.

When the company faces difficulties and obstacles, the department always provides specific instructions to help the company comply with legal regulations.

“During the import and export process, the department always supports the company. Notably, at the end of the year, the company's import and export volume increases, the Customs must work overtime, the Customs always arranges officials to support it to import raw materials and export goods in a timely manner. We are very grateful to the Customs officers,” said Ms. Wang Xiang Mei.

At the centralized check point, many vehicles carrying exported cargo have been processed customs clearance procedures to transport to the ports for timely loading.

Manager of Quang Ngai Industrial Park Customs Branch Luong Cong Tich said that the branch managed and processed customs procedures in the province’s industrial zones, with the export processing and manufacturing of garments, furniture, footwear, sandals, handbags, etc., so most of goods are classified into green channel - exempt from physical inspection of goods.

“However, to support FDI enterprises in implementing regulations for the specific type, we always diversify the support forms for enterprises to receive new policy documents, such as: listing at customs checkpoint, sending newly issued legal documents via email, Zalo groups, etc. and integrating with customs law dissemination in other fields…” – Manager Luong Cong Tich said.

The support of the Customs has been highly appreciated by enterprises. On the sidelines of the Customs-Business dialogue conference held by Quang Ngai Customs Department, many enterprises said that Customs Branches have facilitated customs procedures for them.

In addition to benefiting from software programs applying technology in customs clearance, businesses always receive the support of the Quang Ngai Customs Department in guiding procedures, answering arising problems with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude... helping businesses reduce costs and time for customs clearance.

According to Director of Quang Ngai Customs Department Vu Van Hai, in order to better serve the business community, for more than two years now, the department has launched an automated business satisfaction assessment system at border gates. The results show that most businesses are satisfied and very satisfied.

Accomplishing assigned tasks

Motivated by effective methods, Quang Ngai Customs Department has contributed to creating a healthy environment, attracting businesses to do import and export procedures in the area. Currently, about 500 enterprises regularly carry out import-export procedures in two large industrial parks, Dung Quat Economic Zone and VSIP Industrial Park.

There are two companies operating on a large scale, continuously expanding investment as Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company and Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company, contributing the majority of the state revenue of the department.

At the same time, the department has actively monitored and supported for 12 enterprises that have signed agreements to develop customs-business partnership, six companies voluntarily comply with customs laws... to improving compliance for enterprises.

The great efforts to reform administrative procedures, facilitate trade, and accompany the business community of Quang Ngai Customs Department has helped the department complete the assigned political tasks in 2024 soon. Currently, the department has achieved key tasks in 2024 and targets before the deadline.

Deputy Director of Quang Ngai Customs Department Huynh Van Cuong, in 2024, the department performs the tasks in the context of the recovery of import-export enterprises in the area, the growth of import-export activities has positively impacted the department’s revenue. As of November 18, the department had collected about VND 11,500 billion, reaching 150% of the assigned target.

The department has focused on inspection, post-clearance audit to promptly detect violation and prevent the state revenue. The department has completed 100% of the target; and completed the plan to inspect the settlement reports of two export processing companies. Of which, the department has collected tax arrears and fined VND70 million a company due to violations in the use of raw materials; gathered and analyzed information for risk management, thereby collecting and entering the information of 106 enterprises, accounting for 189% of the assigned target; conducted six post-clearance audits, assessed and imposed fines of VND421 million in taxes, achieving 100% of the target...
