Talking with the Customs Newspaper’s reporter, the representatives of Quang Ninh Customs (under Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, Quang Ninh Customs Department) said that in the afternoon of March 19, the Branch assigned Customs officers to complete the procedures for the last import and export shipments that were opened before March 19 2019, at Bac Luan Bridge I.

Right after the official clearance of Bac Luan Bridge II (March 19), all import and export goods have been circulated via Bac Luan Bridge II. Immigration procedures for passengers and border residents have been processed via Bac Luan Bridge I.

In order to prepare for this change, the Branch has actively arranged and assigned officers to carry out procedures to avoid disturbance in management at the Branch.

Presenting at Bac Luan Border Gate I in the afternoon of March 19, the reporter realized that there were a large number of passengers and border residents who were carrying out immigration procedures.

In areas, Customs and Border Guard forces are always in charge of guiding procedures for passengers and border residents; 100% of passengers’ luggage and belonging to border residents on entry are put into luggage scanners.

Besides, in order to prevent the congestion, the Customs and Border Guard forces have a classified channel for passengers and border residents for quick and smooth Customs clearance.

According to a report recently updated by the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, from February 14 to March 13, the Branch processed procedures for 404,629 immigration passengers and border residents, reducing by 11% compared to the previous period in 2018.

From the beginning of March 13 2019, there were 1,145,480 passengers and border residents on exit and entry in the area, down 22% compared to the same period in 2018.
