On September 15, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway line was restored after many days of suspension due to the impact of typhoons and floods (suspended from September 7, 2024).

On September 16, speaking to reporters, the leader of Lao Cai International Railway Customs Branch said that the unit has made preparation to ensure smooth customs clearance of goods through the area.

Regarding the import and export situation at the unit, from the beginning of the year to September 12, the total import and export turnover of goods and transit goods through the unit's area reached US$266.87 million; of which, exports reached US$217.32 million; and imports reached US$20.68 million.

At the most important import-export area of ​​Lao Cai, Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II, the leader of Lao Cai Border Gate Customs Branch said that after two days of suspension due to the impact of floods (September 9-10), from September 11 until now, import-export activities through Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II have been going smoothly with about 400-500 import-export trucks/day.
