Request for price management and stabilization, avoiding unusual fluctuations during Tet 2025

Accordingly, the Minister requested heads of agencies and units to closely monitor the world's economic - political situation and inflation affecting Vietnam to have appropriate response solutions.

At the same time, updating the supply - demand situation, domestic market prices to promptly advise on measures to manage, operate and stabilize market prices, especially before, during and after Tet, to avoid unusual fluctuations affecting economic - social life.

The Minister also requested to strengthen the prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; strictly control tax declaration, settlement and tax refund.

Specifically, the Price Management Department is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant units under the Ministry of Finance, units under ministries and the sector to grasp information, closely monitor developments in supply and demand, markets, and prices, especially for some essential consumer goods and important production materials with large price fluctuations.

The department needs to promptly advise the Ministry on appropriate price management and operation measures to stabilize market prices and control inflation; organize inspection teams to grasp the implementation of price management and stabilization in some localities during the Lunar New Year.

In addition, the Price Management Department needs to promote the work of synthesizing information, analyzing and forecasting market price developments; develop a price management scenario for 2025 and advise and propose appropriate price management and control measures.

The Departments of Finance are responsible for coordinating with departments, agencies and sectors to proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee to strengthen the price management, operation and stabilization work in the area.

As well as developing a plan to regulate and support the reasonable circulation of goods sources, promptly propose the providing of national reserve goods according to regulations.

Units need to step up the implementation in price listing and declaration; inspect and examine the compliance with legal regulations on prices, taxes, fees and charges in the area; strictly handle violations.

The Directive requires the General Department of Customs to concentrate its forces to do a good job of customs clearance and release of goods, avoiding congestion at border gates during Tet.

As well as closely coordinating with border guards and coast guard forces in patrolling and controlling land and sea borders, strengthening the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; strengthening inspection and strict control of border gate areas.

The Steering Committee 389 of the Ministry of Finance strengthens the direction, inspection and urging of units under the Ministry of Finance to carry out the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeits according to the Plan to fight smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeits before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025 of the National Steering Committee 389.

The regional State Reserve Department promptly issues national reserve goods according to instructions, ensuring social security.

The Financial Inspectorate presides over and directs the inspection of compliance with laws on finance, accounting, taxes, fees, etc at the request of competent authorities (if any).

The Directive requires the General Department of Taxation to direct professional units and tax departments of provinces and centrally run cities to strengthen inspection and examination to prevent tax losses for enterprises with high tax risks.

At the same time, strengthening the management of invoices to prevent the buying and selling of invoices, the use of illegal invoices to legalize smuggled goods and infringing goods.

The Tax Departments direct the review and grasp of the subjects and sources of budget revenue in the area, manage tax declaration and payment of enterprises, organizations, and individuals to collect correctly, fully, and promptly taxes, fees, charges, and other revenues to the State budget.

Units need to strictly manage tax refunds, ensure the correct subjects, in accordance with the prescribed regime, strengthen inspection, detection, and prevention of tax evasion, tax fraud, tax arrears, and transfer pricing.
