Saigon Post and Telecommunication forced to suspend customs procedures for 1 year for tax debts
Saigon Posts and Telecommunications JSC was forced to stop customs procedures due to overdue tax debts |
According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, implementing the request of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, the Investment Customs Branch (Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department) has just issued a decision to stop customs procedures for SPT's export and import goods (Tax code: 0300849034; address: No. 10, Co Giang, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City)
The reason for the enforcement is that the taxpayer has tax arrears that are over 90 days from the deadline for payment according to regulations, with the enforced amount of nearly VND31 billion.
The enforcement decision is effective for a period of 1 year from September 12, 2024 to September 11, 2025. The decision will be ineffective when the tax arrears are fully paid to the state budget.
SPT was officially established on December 27, 1995. This is the first joint stock company in Vietnam operating in the field of Post and Telecommunications with founding members including 11 state-owned enterprises operating in the fields of: manufacturing telecommunications equipment, electronics, information technology and providing post and telecommunications services.
In 1997, SPT officially provided Internet services under the brand name SaigonNet, becoming one of the first four Internet service providers in Vietnam.
