Revenue of Customs units in Can Tho city was over 1,552 billion VND, reaching 116% of the estimate and nearly 105% of the target, up 80% compared to the same period in 2016.

Can Tho Customs Department said that in 2017 the Department was assigned to collect 3,260 billion VND of estimate target, an increase of 76.8% compared to the same period in 2016. The revenue of Can Tho city reached 1,335 billion VND. On 25 September 2017, the General Department of Vietnam Customs assigned Customs units in Can Tho city to collect 1,480 billion VND, up by 10.86% against the estimate.

In order to deploy the target of revenue collection 2017, based on the actual situation in the Department, Can Tho Customs Department has assigned quota to each Customs branch and launched emulation to excellently complete the political task 2017. At the beginning of the year, the leaders and officials of Can Tho Customs Department drastically implement measures to collect the revenues and determined to achieve the target with the highest revenue.

In addition, Can Tho City Customs Department always pay attention and closely direct subordinate units to effectively implement motto “professionalism-transparency-efficiency”? Giving priority for facilitation to businesses in imports and exports and ensure to quickly handle work in accordance with provisions of the law.

As a result, from the beginning of the year to now, total declaration and import and export turnover, means of transport in the area have highly increased compared to the same period in 2016. Specifically, until 10 November 2017, total businesses carry out Customs procedures at Can Tho city Customs Department were 218 businesses (increasing 13 businesses); total declarations were 66,585 declarations, up nearly 31%; Total import and export turnover was US$ 4 billion (export turnover reaching over US$ 2.1 billion and import turnover reaching over US$ 1.8 billion), an increase of 57.58% compared to the same period in 2016.

Besides, Can Tho city Customs Department also carried out entry and exit procedures for 351 ships (an increase of 142 times) and 5,905 times of crew members, an increase of 2,468 times compared to the same period in 2016. Implementing entry and exit procedures for 26 flights (an increase of 12 flights), total passenger and flight crew was 3,497 times, an increase of 1,734 times compared to the same period in 2016.
