More than 220000 declarations processed by Hai Phong Customs in April

In April 2024, Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 220,718 import and export declarations, an increase of 17.71% over the same period in 2023, an increase of 0.5% over the previous month in 2024.

Of which, imports are 118,204 declarations, exports are 102,514 declarations. Among the nine customs branches under the Hai Phong Customs Department, the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch processed the largest declaration number of 52,621, while the Hai Phong Port Zone 1 Border Gate Customs Branch has the smallest volume with 5,140 declarations.

Regarding the channeling rate of import and export declarations, in April, the Green channel accounted for 66.1%, the Yellow channel was 30.4%, and the Red channel was 3.5%.

In April, the total import-export turnover of goods going through customs clearance at Hai Phong Customs Department reached approximately US$11 billion, down 0.48% over the previous month, but up 23.1% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, export turnover reached more than US$5.46 billion, down 2.77% over the previous month, up 22.4% over the same period in 2023; taxable export turnover alone reached US$47.21 million, up 13.68% over the previous month, up 24.1% over the same period in 2023.

Import turnover reached more than US$5.53 billion, up 1.78% over the previous month, up 23.7% over the same period in 2023; taxable import turnover alone reached more than US$2 billion, up 6.43% over the previous month, up 19.2% over the same period in 2023.
