According to the police, in the Trung Chinh village area, Muong Hung commune, Song Ma district (Son La), the working group chaired by the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Division, in coordination with the Song Ma district police, Muong Hung Commune Police, Drug Enforcement Team, Dien Bien Customs Department successfully arrested the suspect Song A Thong, born in 1993 (residing in Trung Chinh village, Muong Hung commune, Song district Code) for drug trafficking.

At that time, the authorities discovered another man was trading with Song A Thong. However, when the suspects discovered the authorities, that man quickly escaped to the border area adjacent to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the working group organized a pursuit but the man fled into the forest.

Evidence seized from the case included six packages of heroin, weighing more than 1.9 kg; more than 11,900 synthetic drug pills, weighing more than 1.1kg.
