The General Department of Customs (GDVC) has issued a peak plan to fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after Lunar New Year 2025.

In the plan, the GDVC requests relevant units to strictly manage customs control area, ensure security, social order and safety, stabilize market prices, protect consumers and prevent loss of the State revenue.

The GDVC directs the units to actively control the situation, detect, combat, prevent and promptly and strictly handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods across the border, trading, transporting and storing prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights; prevent the management area from becoming a hot spot for smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across the border.

The GDVC also requires the units to implement the plan in line with regulations, facilitate production, business, import and export, entry and exit activities, and not affect normal and legitimate production, business, import and export of goods of organizations and individuals.

The GDVC directs units to disseminate and strictly comply with the instructions of leaders at all levels during the peak period against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.

At the same time, it is necessary to effectively take technical measures; strengthen information collection, grasp the situation, patrol, control, identify key areas and routes; strictly control import and export and transit goods, luggage of entry and exit passengers.
