On January 2, in Hai Phong, Hai Phong City Party Committee and the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a ceremony to announce the decisions on cadre work of Hai Phong Customs Department.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Van Thanh, Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can, and Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh.

The ceremony, Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can awarded the appointment decision for the positions of Director of Hai Phong Customs to Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Van Thanh awarded the decision of Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee to approve Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc as the Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Phong Customs Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Van Thanh and Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can congratulated Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can said the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc aimed to complete a step of cadre work and created favorable conditions for Hai Phong Customs Department to successfully accomplish assigned tasks.

Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can desired Hai Phong Customs Department to continue to maintain solidarity, creativity, reform, discipline, professionalism and deserve to be one of the leading units of Vietnam Customs.

Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Van Thanh said that with a position as a largest seaport in the North, and import and export activities are significant, thereby, Hai Phong Customs Department needs to make efforts to successfully accomplish the assigned tasks.

Especially, in 2019, Hai Phong Customs Department successfully completed assigned tasks, surpassing the budget revenue target. In particular, the sharp increase in revenue of Hai Phong area played an important role for Hai Phong to be enjoyed the rate of 70 percent of surpassing import-export revenue with the reallocated budget of about VND 5,000 billion to 7,000 billion.

The new Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Duy Ngoc thanked the trust of leaders at all levels and the support of cadres and civil servants in the department. He determined to maintain solidarity together with Hai Phong Customs leaders and officers to develop Hai Phong Customs as a stable, developed and strong department in all aspects and successfully completing the assigned tasks.
