Accordingly, the official date of operation as an international border gate is from December 29, 2023. Vietnam’s working hours is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Hanoi time); China’s working hours is from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Beijing time).

On December 28, 2023, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) to hold a Ceremony to announce the upgrade of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) Border Gate pair as an international border gate, including the Na Doong (Vietnam) - Na Ray (China) customs clearance route.

The official upgrading of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) International Border Gate pair, including the Na Doong (Vietnam) - Na Ray (China) customs clearance route, is an important premise for the two sides to plan and attract investment, upgrade infrastructure, research appropriate policy mechanisms, create favorable conditions for import and export activities, promote comprehensive cooperation and development in the fields of investment, trade, intermodal transportation, and tourism; promote people-to-people exchange activities, and meet the legitimate needs and expectations of the people, businesses, and investors of the two countries...

According to Tra Linh Border Gate Customs Branch (Cao Bang Customs Department), in the first 2 months of 2024, the total import-export turnover processed by the Branch increased by 195% to US$37.8 million year-on-year.

Notably, export turnover rose 407% to US$33.44 million, while import turnover decreased 30% to more thanUS$4.34 million.
