Import-export turnover hits high growth
Following the plan and orientation of the Customs sector and Cao Bang province, Cao Bang Customs department issued Program No. 150/CTr-HQCB dated January 17, 2024 on implementing key tasks in 2024.
The department assigned the revenue target and import-export turnover target in 2024 to its subordinate units, and issued plans to perform key tasks in 2024.
The department focuses on maintaining discipline, and promoting administrative reform and customs modernization under the policy of expediting digital transformation, applying 4.0 technology towards smart customs.
The department has processed customs procedures quickly in accordance with regulations, promptly removed difficulties for businesses, and prevented congestion at border gates.
Additionally, the department has strengthened the anti-smuggling and drug prevention, prevented hot spots on drug smuggling; and drastically implemented solutions to collect the State revenue.
Thanks to solutions to facilitate trade, import and export activities across the area have improved, especially Ta Lung Border Gate, Tra Linh Border Gate, Bac Kan Customs Branch...
As of November 15, the total import and export turnover across the area reached over US$ 875.3 million, increasing by 39% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Major export items include seafood, vegetables, cashew nuts, lead ingots, nickel ore, etc.
The items see positive growth as seafood reaching 176.23 thousand tons, up 111% over the same period last year; vegetables reaching about 141 thousand tons, up 117%; cashew nuts reaching 135.77 thousand tons, up 149%...
The State revenue increases over VND205 billion
Cao Bang Customs Department is allocated by the MoF the revenue target of VND 600 billion in 2024, and allocated the revenue target of VND 600 billion by Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee; and VND 32 billion of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee.
The department has drastically implemented solutions to effectively perform this important political task.
The department has assigned revenue targets to each branch; developed a plan to implement Directive No. 371/CT-TCHQ dated January 24, 2024 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs “on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, and prevent revenue loss in implementing the State revenue collection in 2024”.
On October 17, Cao Bang Customs Department issued Official Dispatch No. 1687/HQCB-NV directing units to implement the state revenue collection in the last months of 2024...
During performing tasks, the department regularly inspects and reviews revenues, maintains the traditional revenues, attracts and effectively exploits new revenues both inside and outside the province.
The department ensures that all revenues are collected correctly, fully, and promptly into the State budget, promptly detect and handle any arising errors.
The department has closely cooperated with the State Treasury and commercial banks to effectively implement the 24/7 e-tax payment program, creating favorable conditions for businesses in paying taxes and fees; coordinated with the domestic tax authority and related units in collecting fees for using border gate infrastructure...
Motivated by solutions in facilitating trade to maintain and attract revenues, and measures to prevent revenue loss and collect tax debts, the revenue of Cao Bang Customs Department has seen positive growth.
As of November 14, the revenue of Cao Bang Customs Department increased by 30% to VND882.4 billion year-on-year, reaching 147% of the annual target assigned by the MoF.
