On July 3, Cao Bang Customs Department said that from the beginning of the year, the procedures for imports and exports are mainly processed at border gates of Ta Lung, Tra Linh, Soc Giang and Bac Kan Customs Branch.
By the end of February, 132 enterprises have implemented procedures at Cao Bang Customs Department, increasing by 34 enterprises year-on-year.
Notably, the trade in goods, especially the export turnover at the department surges compared with the previous year.
The total trade in goods in the first two months of the year increases by 145% to US$ 95 million compared to the same period of the previous year, including the export turnover at US$ 68 million, up 346% and the import turnover at US$27 million, up 12%.
The export products mainly are seafood, vegetables, cashew nuts, coffee, pepper...; while imported products mainly are fruits and vegetables; ores and other minerals; coal; other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts; and fabrics.
The increase in the export turnover across Cao Bang Customs Department in the first two months of the year compared to the same period in 2023 results from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and China's control measures in the area bordering Cao Bang province.
