Video: Urgently formulating the project "Renovating the model of inspection of the quality of export and import goods"
The objective of the project is to substantially reform the quality of import and export goods on the basis of applying risk management principles, in accordance with international practices.
This project expects to help saving maximum costs, time, resources for society but still strengthening inspection of the quality of export and import goods in accordance with the provisions of law, meeting the requirements of international integration.
Recently, with the drastic guidance of the Government, the specialized inspection of export and import goods has achieved certain results, but it has not met the requirements of administrative reform; has not created a breakthrough change in checking the quality of export and import goods.
In view of this fact, in order to reform substantially the task of inspection of the quality of exported goods, in Resolution No. 99 / NQ-CP of November 13th, 2019, the Government assigned the Ministry of Finance to preside over the development of the Project, in which the General Department of Customs is the focal point for performing the specialized inspection at the border gate (except for goods related to security, defense, quarantine ...), to submit to The government in the first quarter of 2020.
Currently, the General Department of Customs is in the process of drafting and collecting the opinions of experts, ministries, and branches, as well as researching and consulting international experiences to build The Project to ensure the spirit of reform actually checking the quality of export and import goods, ensuring the set targets.
