The seminar held in May 2018 will be the largest seminar on the Single Window mechanism, the ASEAN Single Window and Trade Facilitation.

Previously, in February 2018, the Government Office sent official dispatches of the Prime Minister's directives to ministries and branches in organizing seminars in 2018, including the seminar on the National Single Window, the ASEAN Single Window and Trade Facilitation.

At the first quarter meeting of the General Department of Vietnam Customs (on 6 April 2018), Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Vu Thi Mai directed the General Department of Vietnam Customs - the National Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation about the standardization of the above-mentioned seminar.

She emphasized that this was a particularly important and nationwide seminar, presided over by the Prime Minister, and the Deputy Prime Ministers, with the participation of international organizations, international partners, business associations and relevant ministries.

In order to successfully organize the seminar, the General Department of Vietnam Customs should make efforts to prepare a plan of action to implement the National Single Window, the ASEAN Single Window, and trade facilitation. It must clearly define the procedures for cutting and reducing the roadmap; the sectoral specialized testing rate and the specific reduction pathway to reach the goal of reducing this ratio to less than 15%.

In order to prepare for the above mentioned seminar, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has been actively carrying out many related work, especially content preparation.
