Seized fake Converse shoes in transit shipment again

The infringing shipment was discovered at Nam Hai Dinh Vu port, Hai Phong, on 2/8. According to the transport document, the shipment was in enterprise’s name that located in Vientiane, Laos; the enterprise that was informed to receive goods by doing transit procedure in Vietnam is located in Cau Giay district, Hanoi.

Through initial inspection, Customs authority discovered some infringing goods such as lights, Converse shoes, erasers, circular cut stone, motorbike spare parts ... which have not specified in detail. In particular, Converse shoes have signs of breaking intellectual property rights.

The Customs Enforcement Unit (Hai Phong Customs Department) is continuing to implement professional measures in order to verify and set the basis for handling in accordance with provisions of law.

Thus, only in the past one month, Hai Phong Customs has detected two cases of a violation involving transit goods from China to Laos and especially goods related to infringement of intellectual property of many famous brands in the world.
